License application

Permits and licenses are procedures required to carry out a specific business. You can carry out a business by applying to a designated government agency and obtaining the permits and licenses stipulated by law. There are five types of permits and licenses: notification, registration, approval, permission, and license, and the type and where to apply vary depending on the industry.

About license applications

There are businesses that anyone can start without any permission, and businesses that require qualifications and permission before opening. Here we will introduce the types of businesses that require licenses and permits and the agencies to notify.

Businesses that require licenses and permits to open are those that may put employees or users in danger. They may also be necessary for businesses that involve the lives of product purchasers or service users. When dealing with things that can be dangerous if not handled with care, such as "temporary staffing businesses" and "money lending businesses," where the items are not dangerous but may put users at a disadvantage, it is safe to understand them as "things that people eat" and "things that come into contact with the human body." Of course, medicines and food, as well as vegetables grown with pesticides and livestock, are ultimately eaten by people.

Depending on the type of business you intend to carry out, you may not be able to carry out business activities on your own, and may need to obtain a business license from a supervisory authority, or you may need to register or file a notification.

It is not possible to cover all of them, but we will introduce the major industries.

Also, even if you are holding a limited-time event, even if it is for a short period of time, you may need to file a notification or obtain a license, so be sure to check and take care to avoid accidents.
